Commissioning of Catechists Today we pray and commission our catechists to work for the Lord in our parish. Please support them in your prayers.

5 Years & Growing

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of our parish, the followings will be held on Sep 26 (Sun):-

1. Thanksgiving Mass by Archbishop Miller at 10:00 a.m.

2. Feast Day Dinner at Dragon View Chinese Cuisine at 6:30 pm. Tickets at $35 (adult) and $28 (12 year old or below) are available after Mass.

Liturgy of Word for Children will resume next weekend. Parents are encouraged to send their children to this liturgy service during Mass.

Learning our Catholic Faith

Adult Catechism (RCIA) 2010-2011

For inquirers and Catholics preparing for confirmation.

In Cantonese (every Wednesday) 7:00-9:00 p.m.

In English (every Thursday) at 7:00-8:30 p.m.

In Mandarin (every Saturday) 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Classes have started, please register as soon as possible.

Children Catechism PREP in English Classes for Gr. 1 - 7 will begin from Sep 15 (every Wednesday) from 7:00-8:15 p.m. Please register as soon as possible.

Youth Faith Formation Program (YFFP). Faith formation is lifelong,...and it takes a community to form young disciples? We are now accepting Gr.8-12 registration for our YFFP starting this September. Registration forms are available at the Info Counter.

Mandarin Evangelization Catholic Friends is inviting Mandarin speaking friends of our parishioners who would like to know God and our Catholic faith to a gathering on Sep 18 (Sat) at 6:30 p.m. The theme is “Who is our neighbors?” Please sign up.

Parish Pastoral Council will be held on Sep 17 (Fri) 7:30 p.m. Please send at least one representative from each parish group.

Knights of Columbus is hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner & Dance Party on Oct 9 (Sat). Tickets will be sold after Mass at $25 each. Please contact Michael Wong at 778-773-1226.

Private Tuition An Irish missionary family who has rich teaching experience can offer private full time tuition for English and Mandarin in Richmond. Contact Parish Office.

Project Advance We are only $12,184 short of our goal. Have you participated yet? Please pledge in parish office during office hours. Every gift makes a difference - every gift counts.

Rectory Redevelopment Contract has been signed with Zagreb Construction Inc. Construction has started. Please keep the project in your prayer and donation is still welcome.

Parish Community Activities

Mandarin Conversation Class teaching everyday speaking skill and vocabulary. Class will start on Sep 18 (every Saturday) 11:30a.m.-12:30p.m.. Please register in advance at parish office in the morning or call Mabel at 604-808-9600 after 10:00 a.m. (Can the parishioner who has called about the class, please call Mabel again.)

A Course in Theology of the Body Come and discover God’s plan for life and learn about this revolutionary teaching of John Paul II. The 11-week course begins Sep 16 at St. Jude School, from 7:00 - 9:15 p.m. To register please call Respect Life Office 604-683-0281.

Do You Work or Volunteer in Health Care? On Sep 16, a conference with the theme “Analogue People in a Digital World” will be held at the Executive Plaza Hotel in Coquitlam, speaker: Archbishop Thomas Collins of Toronto. Beatification of John Henry Cardinal Newman Saint Mark’s College, the Newman Club of UBC, and the Newman Association of Vancouver invite you to join at a Mass on Sept 19 (Sun) at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception. Celebrant: Archbishop J. Michael Miller.

Salt, Light and Leaven Come and enjoy a day of prayer, reflection and ecclesial communion at Westminster Abbey on Oct 2 (Sat), 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Fr. Abbot John Braganza, OSB will have an extended reflection on how to live your lay vocation today with vigor and serenity. Admission is free.
