Annual Solemn Exposition of the Eucharist     Please sign up for an hour to pray before the Blessed Sacrament on Nov 8 - 10 (Tue-Thu) from 9 am to 12 noon. 

 

The Significance of the Eucharist   The Canadian Martyrs Prayer Group presents "The Significance of the Eucharist".  This spiritual talk will be presented by Fr. Elton Fernandez on Nov 12 (Sat) at 7:00 pm at the parish hall.  This activity is free of charge and everyone is welcome.

 

The Great Adventure - The Gospel of Matthew  Do you know who Jesus is?  How is He related to the Old Testament?  Come with us on this journey to be nearer to God in understanding the New Testament.

Henry Mrema ALCP is a member of the Apostolic Life Community of Priests in the Opus Spiritus Sancti who came last Sunday.  He comes from Tanzania and his Order has a lot of vocations to priesthood.  This year they have five new priests and four deacons will be ordained to priesthood in 2012.  They are really in need of funds/scholarships in their studies to priesthood.  For tax receipt, make cheques payable to Canadian Martyrs or St. Joseph the Worker Parish.  Please mark Fr. White Ribbon Against Pornography (WRAP)   Thank you for all parishioners supporting the White Ribbon Signature Campaigns last week.  We had collected 743 signatures.  Our Catholic Women's League will send the ribbon to the Member of Parliament for Richmond addressing our concern.

World Mission Sunday   is on Oct 23rd.  This is a world-wide collection for the missionary church that provides emergency aid when disasters strike, cares for refugees in war torn nations, and provides rural health clinics and transportation for priests, catechists, religious and lay pastoral workers.  It provides financial support for the daily needs of all missionaries.  Please pray for the missions and be generous on World Mission Sunday.
