Adult Catechism (RCIA) 2011-2012

For inquirers and Catholics preparing for confirmation.

In Cantonese from Sep 14 (every Wednesday) 7-9 p.m.

In English from Sep 15 (every Thursday) at 7-8:30 p.m.

In Mandarin from Sep 17 (every Saturday) 3-5 p.m.

 

PREP Registration for 2011-12    for Grades 1-7 every Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:15 pm.  Classes will begin on Sep 14.  Financial assistance is also available on request. 

 

Relationship Between Our Blessed Mother, Catholics and Non-Catholics     Aug 13 (Sat), 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon.  Mary, Mother of Christ legionaries joyfully invites everyone to this spiritual talk by Fr. Anthony Ho. This talk in English is hosted by our Praesidium to celebrate our 10th anniversary.

Knights of Columbus         will hold a golf tournament on Aug 13 at Country Meadows for $75 per person.  Great prizes and fun.  Please contact Dominic Eng at 604-271-1447.

 

Summer Dress Code    Decent wear is the Sunday best,  offer your solemn worship to God in proper clothing.

-Parish goal: $168,000, of which $36,800 goes to the Archdiocese and $131,200 for debt repayment and rectory construction.

-Suggestion: $432 for each family, or $36/month.

Parish Community Activities

Mandarin Conversation Class       teaching daily speaking skill and vocabulary.  Every Saturday, 1:00-2:00 p.m.  Please register in advance at parish office in the morning.

 

Man's Vocation     Deacon Armand Danis, from the diocese of Thunder Bay, Ontario and immediate past chairman of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services of Canada, will be speaking on Man's Vocation Life in the Spirit based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Western Canada Chinese Catholic Living Camp (WCCCLC)  This year's theme is "Tune In to God, Relay His Love".  It will be held on the Labour Day weekend of Sep 2 - 5 (Fri-Mon) at Camp Charis in Chilliwack. Revised Roman Missal      Changes are coming this Fall to some of the prayers and responses of the Mass.  Is it true that we will no longer say Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again??
