Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time – March 6, 2011

 

Ash Wednesday (Mar 9)          Mass with Distribution of Ashes at 8:30 am and 7:30 pm (both in English).  Visit www.rcav.org/ashwednesday for other church schedule.

 

Day of Fasting and Abstinence 

Catholics from age 14 are bound to abstain from meat. Those from 18 years to the beginning of their 60th year are bound to fast i.e. no meat with only one full meal be taken.

 

Lent

 

Stations of the Cross       will be held on Fridays (except First  Friday) Mar 11, 18, 25, Apr 8 & 15. English at 7 pm and Chinese at 8 pm.

Great Adventure Participants  please come earlier to attend our English session at 7 pm before class.

 

Lenten Charity - National Stem Cell Drive     Booths will be present at the end of each mass on the following dates / time:

March 12 (Sat): 5:45-6:30pm / March 13 (Sun): 9-10 pm, 11-11:45pm, 12:45-1:15pm

March 19 (Sat): 5:45-6:30pm / March 20 (Sun): 9-10pm, 11:00-11:45pm, 12:45-1:15pm

Easy swab test though your mouth. Please complete a form at the info counter for the swab test starting next week. Person aged between 17-50 are eligible as a potential donor.  In the season of Lent, show your care to others though sacrificing a few moments that may one day save someone’s life.

Searching in the Spirit   The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry’s annual post-confirmation training event will take place from Jul 4 - 8 at Camp Jubilee at the base of Mt.
