Easter Sunday – April 24, 2011
Easter Grace We are thankful to God that 32 persons will be baptized this Easter in our parish and 6 baptized Catholics will be confirmed. May their new lives in Christ bring them peace and joy.
Divine Mercy Sunday (May 1st)
In June 2002, the late Pope John Paul II granted a Plenary Indulgence to the faithful for participation in this Feast of Mercy under the following conditions:
- Sacramental Confession 8 days prior to or after the Feast Day.
- Offer prayers for the intentions of the Pope.
- Receive Communion in a state of grace on Divine Mercy Sunday. Sunday Mass fulfills this obligation.
- Participate in a special prayer service in honour of the Divine Mercy on that day or at least recite before the Blessed Sacrament an Our Father, the Creed and a devout prayer to Merciful Jesus “Jesus, I trust in You”.
Divine Mercy Devotion will be held at our church on May 1st at 3:00 p.m. in Cantonese. All are welcome.
Rosary In the month of May, come to join us in saying the Rosary 20 minutes before Sunday Masses (except 8:15 am).
First Friday Mass & Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament May 6 (Fri). Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00 am to 7:45 pm. Vocations hour at 6 pm, Benediction at 7:45 pm followed by Mass in Cantonese at 8:00 p.m. Please sign up at the Info Counter. Divine Mercy Devotion at 7:20 pm. Prayer intentions will be offered in the
Mandarin Evangelization An evening of sharing and dinner on Apr 30 (Sat) at 6:30 pm. Free of charge, please bring and sign up for your non-Catholic Mandarin speaking friends.
Mother’s Day Special lunch in hall on May 8 (Sun). Tickets are available after
Project Advance Volunteers are needed to serve from May 15 to Jun 19. Please register at Info Counter.
Parish Office will be closed on Easter Monday.

Focus on Life Gala Dinner May 9 (Mon) at Hyatt Regency Hotel. Keynote: Jason Jones, producer of the film Bella. Doors open at 5:30, dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets :$75/person.
