Pope Benedict XVI    Our Holy Father will celebrate his 60th anniversary of his priestly ordination on Jun 29.  Please remember him in your prayer.

 

First Friday            No Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and 8:00 p.m. Cantonese Mass on July 1 (Fri) when is a public holiday.  Come to the regular 8:30 am Mass.

 

Project Advance 2011

 

-Parish goal: $168,000, of which $36,800 goes to the Archdiocese and $131,200 for debt repayment and rectory construction.

-Suggestion: $432 for each family, or $36/month.

        Methods:

We are a family!  “My parish My Home” Friendship Afternoon to newly registered parishioners will be held on Jul 10 (Sun) at 3:00 p.m.  Those parishioners registered from Sep 2009 to May 2011 are invited and will receive letter, email or phone call.  R.S.V.P.

 

PREP Registration for 2011-12       for Grades 1-7 are held every Wednesday from 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm.  Classes will begin on Sep 14.  Registrations received before Jun 30 will enjoy an early bird discount.  Financial assistance is also available on request.

 

Catechists    Interested in teaching adults our faith in English?  Contact Fr. Paul or parish office.

 

Youth Faith Formation Program Early Bird Registration is now being accepted at the Info Counter.

 

WYD 2010-2011 Bottle Recycling Drive    is coming to an end on Jul 3 (Sun).  Thank you to all our parishioners and friends who have supported us for the past 16 months.  God bless you all!  Donations welcome.

 

Summer Dress Code    Decent wear is the Sunday best.  Coming to church is not going to party, but to offer solemn worship to God.

Parish Community Activities

Ear Reflexology    Normalize immune system, improve blood circulation, from Jun 25 to Jul 16, 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.

Mandarin Conversation Class        teaching daily speaking skill and vocabulary.  Every Saturday, 1:00-2:00 p.m. Please register in advance at parish office in the morning.

Pro-life Mass & Vigil   Peaceful, prayerful vigil for unborn children and their parents.  Saturday Jul 3, 9 am.  Mass at Holy Spirit Parish, 244 Lawrence St., New Westminster.  Followed by Rosary at Royal Columbian Hospital.

Day of Recollection    It will be held at St. Bernadette parish hall on Jul 23 from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.  Fr. The Western Canada Chinese Catholic Living Camp (WCCCLC)  This year’s theme is “Tune In to God, Relay His Love”.  It will be held on the Labour Day weekend of Sep 2 - 5 (Fri-Mon) at Camp Charis in Chilliwack.
