First Friday Mass & Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament      May 4 (Fri).  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00 am to 7:45 pm. Vocations hour at 6 pm, Benediction at 7:45 pm followed by Mass in Cantonese at 8:00 p.m.  Please sign up at the Info Counter. Divine Mercy Devotion  at 7:20 pm.  Prayer intentions will be offered in the Mass.

 

Work of Vocations   Apr 29 (next Sunday), the second collection is to offer your help so those who are called by God will receive proper resources in training.  Please be generous.

 

Rosary   In the month of May, come to join us in saying the Rosary 20 minutes before Sunday Masses (except 8:15 am).

Jesus the Teacher - Retreat for Catechists    The weekend retreat facilitated by Fr. James Hughes, is part of the RCIA and PREP Certificate Programs offered at the seasonal Formation Institutes.  April 27 - 29 at Westminster Abbey, Mission.  Cost:$150.  Priority will be given to candidates for Catechetical certification.  All others will be placed on a wait-list. Workshop for Pastoral Care Volunteers    by Catholic Health Association of BC on May 1 (Tue) at St Michael’s Parish in Burnaby, Mass at 8:30 a.m.  Speakers will address issues like depression, the efficacy of a pastoral visit, the Sacramental ministry to the sick and Church teaching on health care issues.  $60 including lunch.  The registration can be downloaded from www.chabc.bc.ca under “upcoming events”.

Donations of items to Men’s Hostel   The Catholic Charities Men's Hostel is attempting to make our guests’ stay with us in our Emergency Homeless shelter (for 100 men open 365 days a year) a little more comfortable.  We are seeking coffee mugs, books, or men's XL clothing.
