First Friday Mass & Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament   on Nov 5 (Fri).  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.  Vocations hour at 6:00 p.m.,  Benediction at 7:45 p.m. followed by Mass in Cantonese at 8:00 p.m.  Please sign up at the Info Counter. Divine Mercy Devotion at 7:20 p.m.  Prayer intentions to be offered during the Devotion at 8:00 p.m. Mass.

 

Remembrance of All Souls  November is the month to remember all our departed family members, brothers & sisters and friends.  Please pick the “All Souls Day Remembrance” envelopes and drop into the collection basket during mass or return to parish office. One mass per envelope will be offered except indicated.

 

Peter’s Pence      The 2nd collection next Sunday is for the charitable work of the Holy See.  Visit vatican.va for its history.  Please be generous.

 

Knights of Columbus

Rectory Redevelopment 

  

Structure of the rectory has been framed.  Please keep the project in your prayer and donation is still welcome. 

 

Respect for Neighbours      Please keep clean when you park along Garrison Road and do not block their driveways. Please lower your volume when you talk in our parking lot in the evening.

 

Parish Community Activities

 

Mandarin Conversation Class teaching daily speaking skill and vocabulary.  Every Saturday, 11:30a.m.-12:30p.m. Please register in advance at parish office in the morning.

 

Annual Mass for Deceased Bishops, Priests and Religious  at Holy Rosary Cathedral, Nov 4 (Thu) at 12:00 noon.  All parishioners are welcome.  Kindly remember in your prayers those who have laboured for the Church in Vancouver - and pray that the Lord will send more dedicated men and women to continue their work.

 

Vigil for Unborn Children     Pro-life Mass & Vigil at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Van. on Nov 6 at 9:00 a.m.

Archdiocesan Stewardship Conference  on Nov 12 (Fri) and Nov 13 (Sat) at St. Helen’s Church in Burnaby.  Opening Presentation by Archbishop Miller, and Rev Brendan McGuire from San Jose will be the keynote speaker.  Register at www.rcav.org/stewardship.  Call 604-683-0281.

 

Summit at St. Bernadette Parish   Summit is a monthly event featuring Eucharistic Adoration and Praise & Worship, hosted around Archdiocese of Vancouver since 2002 and attracts hundred of young adults to worship Jesus in the Eucharist.  Next Summit will be held at St. Bernadette’s Parish, Surrey on Nov 6 - 7:30 p.m.

 

Grade 7s... Here’s your Opportunity  It will be held on Nov 6 & 7 (Sat & Sun) at Chandos Pattison Auditorium, Surrey.  This event will get participants excited about receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, and awaken the Holy Spirit in young and old alike!  More information at www.rcav.org-News and Events.

 

Real Faith for Real Women”    Nov 20 (Sat) at All Saints Parish Hall in Coquitlam.  This one-day retreat begins with Mass at 9:00 a.m. and wrap-ups at 3:30 p.m.  Also, there is an Evening Cabaret 7:00 - 10:00 p.m., open to men and women.  Tickets are $49 (includes day and evening) or $20 for evening only.  Tickets available at Joyful Noise Bookstore 604-521-4569 or contact Debbie Sergent at 604-220-4520.
