First Friday Mass & Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament   Jun 3 (Fri).  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00 am to 7:45 pm. Vocations hour at 6 pm, Benediction at 7:45 pm followed by Mass in Cantonese at 8:00 p.m.  Please sign up at the Info Counter.

 

First Communion     Please pray for our Grade 2 children who will receive Jesus for the first time this Sunday.

 

The Pope’s Pastoral Work       This Sunday the second collection is specifically for the missionary of our Pope.  Our prayers and monetary support are needed.

Just as Mary said “yes” to the Angel Gabriel, I pray that you too will say “yes” to the Lord.  Trust in the Lord and you will touch many lives with your gift.

 

-Parish goal: $168,000, of which $36,800 goes to the Archdiocese and $131,200 for debt repayment and rectory construction.

-Suggestion: $432 for each family,

        or $36/month.

        Methods:

1.     Please pledge at the booths; or

Laser Tag Night               The Youth and young adults of the Young Faith Formation Program (YFFP) and LOFT are going to join forces for a round of laser tag on Jun 6 (Mon) from 7-9 pm at Planet Laser in Richmond.  $5 per person.  Please sign up after Mass or contact Tes Mendoza for more details.

 

Youth Faith Formation Program Early Bird Registration is now being accepted at the Info Counter.

 

PREP Registration for 2011-12       for Grades 1-7 are held every Wednesday from 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm.  Classes will begin on Sep 14.  Registration forms have been sent home with students and are also are available from the Parish Counter.  Registrations received before Jun 30 will receive an early bird discount.  Financial assistance is also available on request.

 

Rose Prince - Rose of the Carrier Pilgrimage Jul 7-11 presented by Mary, Mother of Christ Praesidium on their 10th Anniversary occasion.  Come and join with Fr. Peter Chiang as our Pilgrimage Spiritual Director.  Please pick up brochure and registration form from Info Counter.

Parish Community Activities

Mandarin Conversation Class teaching daily speaking skill and vocabulary.  Every Saturday, 1:00-2:00 p.m. Please register in advance at parish office in the morning.

Morning Line Dance and Evening Tai Chi - no class on May 21

 

Ordination to the diaconate    Pablo Santa Maria will be ordained for our diocese on Jun 3 at 7:00 pm at Holy Rosary Cathedral. Everyone is welcome.

 

Pro-life Mass & Vigil   Peaceful, prayerful vigil for unborn children and their parents will be held on Jun 4.  Mass - 9 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, 1430 W. 38th Ave., Vancouver, followed by Rosary at Women’s Hospital.

St. Anthony of Padua Novena   9-day Mass/Novena from Jun 5-13 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Anthony’s (Marpole) 1345 W. 73rd Ave., Van.  Jun 13th (feast day), procession starts at 6:30 p.m. followed by Mass/Novena and fiesta refreshments.
