Rosary   In the month of May, come to join us in saying the Rosary 20 minutes before Sunday Masses (except 8:15 am).

 

Work of Vocations   May 15 (next Sunday), the second collection is to offer your help so those who are called by God will receive proper resources in training.  Please be generous.

 

Vocation Cross  goes around to different families.  This is to encourage families to pray for Vocations.  Please sign up at the Info Counter.

 

Project Advance    will start next week in our parish.  Your support is needed.  Volunteers who can serve from May 15 to Jun 19, please register at Info Counter.

 

Evangelism    The Canadian Martyrs Prayer Group presents “Evangelism”, the last talk of the teaching series entitled “Hearts on Fire”. This spiritual talk will be held on May 14 (Sat) at 7:30 p.m. at the parish hall and will be presented by Ely Bautista from St. Mary’s Parish. This activity is free of charge and everyone is welcome to attend.

 

Jammin’ with Jesus   An evangelistic concert will be held on May 28 (Sat) 7 pm at the parish hall. It will feature singers and a live band who will serenade you with contemporary and worship songs while you are sipping coffee and partaking other refreshments. This is a free event and all are welcome.

 

Crowning of our Lady         The Legion of Mary in Richmond invites you to join them on May 28 (Sat) for the Crowing of Our Lady. The celebration will begin at 9 am for the recitation of the rosary and Mass will follow at 9:30 am.

 

Blessed John Paul II    New multimedia site, www.johnpaulii.va/en/ has 500 photographs and 30 videos, arranged by topics including statistics, his prayers, and biographical information.

 

Knights of Columbus    is hosting a Golf Tournament at Country Meadows on May 29 for $55/person incl. dinner.  Tee-off time at 11:00 am.  Please contact Michael Wong at 778-834-3333 for details.

 

Western Canada Chinese Catholic Living Camp (WCCCLC) Fundraising Dinner     WCCCLC is inviting all parishioners to a fundraising dinner held at parish hall on May 21 (Sat). A 3-course meal will be served by Chef Ricky, and there will be raffle draws, silent auctions, songs, as well as games for entertainment.  All proceeds will go towards the cost of preparing for the camp. Tickets will be on sale after Mass.  WCCCLC looks forward for your support!

Blessing of the Vocation Monstrance    Please join us at the 11 a.m. Mass at Holy Rosary Cathedral on May 15 (Sun), as Archbishop Miller will bless the Vocation Monstrance as part of Vocations Sunday.  The Vocation Monstrance will then travel weekly from parish to parish to promote Adoration for Vocations.  For more info, visit www.rcav.org/vocations.

 

March for Life in Victoria   On May 12 (Thu).  Archbishop Miller will lead a delegation of several hundred parishioners and 400 Catholic high school students to the March; and Bishop Gagnon will be celebrating the Youth Mass - noon at St. Andrew’s Cathedral.  March begins from Centennial Square at 2 pm.  For more info, visit www.M4L Victoria.ca or contact the Respect Life Office 604-683-0281.

 “Who is Christ?” Father Brian Mullady, O.P. will give this talk at Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church on May 9 (Mon) and May 10 (Tue) at 7:00 p.m. These two talks will present the Theology of Jesus, God and Man.  Father Mullady is an internationally known Professor of Theology, author, retreat master, and mission preacher from the Western Dominican Province.  He has numerous series on EWTN.
