Fourth Sunday of Easter – May 15, 2011

 

Rosary   In the month of May, come to join us in saying the Rosary 20 minutes before Sunday Masses (except 8:15 am).

 

Work of Vocations  This Sunday, the second collection is to offer your help so those who are called by God will receive proper resources in training.  Please be generous.

 

Vocation Cross  goes around to different families.  This is to encourage families to pray for Vocations.  Please sign up at the Info Counter.

 

Clergy Retreat   Fr. Chu will be in the Archdiocesan clergy retreat from May 16 to 20.  Please pray for our priests.

Touching Many Lives

Just as Mary said “yes” to the Angel Gabriel, I pray that you too will say “yes” to the Lord.  Trust in the Lord and you will touch many lives with your gift.

 

-Parish goal:  $168,000, of which $36,800 goes to the Archdiocese and $131,200 for debt repayment and rectory construction.

-Suggestion: $432 for each family, or $36/month.

       Methods:

1.    Please pledge at the booths; or

2.    Take a pamphlet home; or

3.   Go online www.rcav.org.

 

 Every gift makes a difference - every gift counts.  

 

Jammin’ with Jesus   An evangelistic concert will be held on May 28 (Sat) 7 pm at the parish hall. It will feature singers and a live band who will serenade you with contemporary and worship songs while you are sipping coffee and partaking other refreshments. This is a free event and all are welcome.

 

Crowning of our Lady  The Legion of Mary in Richmond invites you to join them on May 28 (Sat) for the Crowing of Our Lady here. The celebration will begin at 9 am for the recitation of the rosary and Mass will follow at 9:30 am.

 

CM Voice The latest issue has been published, please pick one.

 

Parish Pastoral Council    will be held on May 27 (Fri) 7:30 p.m.  Please send at least one representative from each parish group.

 

Stewardship  The church property is for common use.  Recently, we find scratches on church pews.  Please pay attention or watch your children.

Western Canada Chinese Catholic Living Camp (WCCCLC) Fundraising Dinner   May 21 (Sat). A 3-course meal will be served by Chef Ricky, and there will be raffle draws, silent auctions, songs, as well as games for entertainment.  All proceeds will go towards the cost of preparing for the camp. Tickets will be on sale after Mass.
