Challenges facing our Youth and their Parents       Mary, Mother of Most Chaste Praesidium will hold this talk on Sep 5 (Mon) from 11:00 am - 12:00 noon at our parish hall.  Deacon John Wu, the speaker, is a professional paediatrician from Calgary who will talk in English to assist our youth to face and solve challenges, and reconnect with their parents.  There will be Q & A after lunch, please bring your lunch bag.

Martyrs are those who love God even more than themselves.  They use their only lives to render the ultimate service for God.  We may imitate them by putting death to all sins and fully alive in God.

Adult Catechism (RCIA) 2011-2012

For inquirers and Catholics preparing for confirmation.

In Cantonese from Sep 14 (every Wednesday) 7-9 p.m.

In English from Sep 15 (every Thursday) at 7-8:30 p.m.

In Mandarin from Sep 17 (every Saturday) 3-5 p.m.

 

Catechists    Interested in teaching adults our faith in English?  Contact Fr. Paul or parish office.

 

PREP for 2011-12             for Grades 1-7 every Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:15 pm.  Classes will begin on Sep 14.  Financial assistance is also available on request.

 

Let's Live our Faith!         All secondary school students are encouraged to attend our parish youth faith formation program (YFFP).  Registrations are still being accepted. Please note that the Welcome and Information Night (with parents) has been rescheduled to Sep 12 (Mon) at 7:00 pm in Rooms A & B.

 

"We are the World" - A celebration of our diversity The Catholic Women's League invites all to join an evening of food, music & entertainment on Oct 1 (Sat) 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm in the Parish Hall. Ticket $25 are available after Mass.  All funds raised will go to the Parish Rectory Reconstruction, Seminarian Fund and Charities (local and global).

 

Life in the Spirit Seminar Chinese session will start on Sep 15 (Thu) at 7:30 pm.  Please call Elvis at 604-838-7728.

Serving the Lord Altar Server must have received First Communion and in Grade 4 or up.  A Minister of Hospitality must be confirmed.  Leave your name, telephone number and email address at the Info Counter or the Parish Office.  Training will be provided.  Serve the Lord and fulfill your Sunday obligation at the same time.

Revised Roman Missal    Changes are coming this Fall to some of the prayers and responses of the Mass.  "Is it true that we will no longer say "Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again?  Get answers to questions like this and others through the Archdiocesan website at www.rcav.org.  A list of resources is also now available online.

Theology of the Body      is Pope John Paul II's teaching on love, life and human sexuality.  Fr.
