The Prayer Group invites everyone to this talk by Fr. Joseph Nguyen, Vocations Director, Archdiocese of Vancouver on Mar 24, 6:30 pm in parish hall.

 

Parish theme for 2012 ~ Apostle - St. James the Greater”

*         Son of Zebedee, brother of John.

*         Jesus once called him and John “Sons of Thunder”.

*         Called “Greater” because of the importance he receives in the New Testament account of Jesus’ earthly life as compared to St. James the Lesser.

*         Born in Bethsaida

*         Fisherman

*         According to tradition, he went to Spain for evangelization.

*         Died in A.D. 43 at early age 40s,

*         Manner of Death: decapitation.

*         Feast day: July 25.

3-Day Grotto, Mt. Angel Pilgrimage     Apr 9-11.  Mary, Mother of Christ Praesidium is hosting this pilgrimage to help celebration of the 75 anniversary of Legion of Mary in Archdiocese of Vancouver.  Spiritual Director is Fr. Lenten Parish Mission    Fr. Elton Fernandes, S.J. will speak about Discovering Christ Personally at Work in My Life at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 4925 Cambie Street, Vancouver from Mar 5 to 7 (Mon-Wed).  Mass at 7 pm followed by reflection.  All are welcome.
